The UK's inaugural event of its type - Float The Highlands. A three-day event for Onewheel riders that includes social rides, stunt clinics, and competitions.
The main event was a full-fledged extreme downhill race that was contested on the circuit that descended the front of Scotland's Glencoe Mountain Resort. Individual timed qualification runs will be used for the downhill race, which will be followed the following day by four rounds of cross-country racing to determine the winner.
Additionally, this will be the last qualifying event for the European championship of the best riders. The league's top male and female riders will earn spots in the August Race for the Rail world championship races in the United States.
We have already sold more than half of the tickets we had allocated for the race, and we anticipate having about 120 racers and an additional 50 riders participate in the other events. Our current ticket sales are primarily to riders from all across Europe and a small number of "Pro" riders from the United States.
An electric self-balancing board called OneWheel has one wheel in the middle and is powered by electricity. They have a significant following across the United States with numerous race events and festivals, and they are created and produced by Future Motion Inc. in California. This is a very new sport in Europe, and we at UK Float Events and event coordinators all around the continent are advancing it.
